Overview

BlackSys CH-200 2-CH

The CH-200 is the flagship 2 channel dash cam from the renowned Korean dash cam manufacturer BlackSys. It builds upon the success of the CH-100B by offering significant upgrades to the internals while keeping the body just as small and resilient in high heat environments. It is a market leader offering Full HD recording on both front and rear cameras with dual Sony EXMOR sensors, while most of its competitors still only offer 720P on the rear. Compared to its predecessor, the CH-100B, the CH-200 offers much better video quality at a higher bitrate as well, furthermore the transition to .MP4 files makes it much more user-friendly for iPhone and Mac users. Additional features like driver safety systems, larger micro SD support, and time lapse recording are welcome upgrades as well.

FAQ

What is Parking Mode?

Parking mode is offered on most of the dash cams available at BlackboxMyCar. While it is important to protect your vehicle while driving, it is just as important to have your vehicle protected while it is parked. When the dash cam is in parking mode, footage will only be saved when there is an impact and/or motion. Parking mode can be enabled with a hardwiring kit or a battery pack.

For more information on parking mode, click here.

What is a Hardwire Kit?

A hardwiring kit enables parking mode. It allows your dash cam to remain powered on even when the vehicle's ignition is turned off. Installation is a breeze as you will only need to find an accessory fuse, constant fuse, and a grounding point.

What is a Battery Pack?

Most customers purchase the battery pack to avoid using the vehicle’s battery to power their dash cam. The battery pack is charged by either being hardwired into an accessory fuse or by being plugged into one of the vehicle's 12-volt cigarette sockets. We recommend the hardwiring the battery pack as it charges the battery pack quicker.

For more information on Battery Packs, click here.

How much footage will my memory card store?

On average, a 2-channel dash cam writes 16GB/hour and a 1-channel dash cam writes about 8GB/hour.

Do I need a Rear Camera?

Accidents or events don't always happen at the front of the vehicle! Having a rear camera provides coverage for any events or accidents that may happen at the rear of the vehicle.

For more information on rear view cameras, click here.

Do I need a IR Rear Camera?

An IR camera is designed to record the interior of the vehicle in low light conditions. This option is very popular among rideshare drivers.

For more information on why rideshare drivers need dash cams, click here.

What is a CPL filter?

A CPL filter attaches to the dash cam lens to eliminate lens flares, light reflections, and windshield glares.

Two Year review

The front camera has worked flawlessly this hole time, the rear video flickers sometimes, but nothing I care too much about.
My only complaint is the video quality is not 1080p, for the price of this unit, I was expecting better. Maybe I got a bum unit, too late to do anything about it now.
I don't know if I'd buy Blacksys again. But it'll be a while before I need to buy another one.

Thanks for your feedback, Phillip! If you haven't already, please try viewing the footage through the SD card on your computer. Viewing anything over WiFi will always give you a compressed file, and the SD card is the best way to view full-quality footage!

Blackboxmycar. The best and only place for dashcams

Ordered my Blackstone ch200 around Victoria Day and received it within 2 days. Super fast shipping. I contacted the blackboxmycar team to get a quote for an install and their customer service is top notch!

I ended up installing my ch200 by myself and it was super easy. It's working like perfectly so far. The app could be better, but no worse than the apps for other dashcams.

Hello there, We're glad you're happy with the dashcam! Hopefully the BlackSys app will be more refined in the future.
