Dual Sony STARVIS 2 Precision

The BlackVue Elite 9 elevates video quality by incorporating Sony STARVIS 2 sensors in both the front and rear units. The front cam utilizes the 8MP IMX678 sensor to record spectacular 4K UHD footage, ensuring that license plates and road signs are legible even at highway speeds.

The rear cam is equipped with the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor. While this powerful sensor is often found in premium 2K dashcams, BlackVue has optimized it here to ensure that vehicles behind you are captured with superior dynamic range. Whether it is a rear-end collision or a tailgater, the BlackVue Elite provides forensic-level evidence from both angles.

Revolutionary Power Saving Parking Mode

Say goodbye to battery anxiety. The Elite 9 features an industry-leading Power Saving Parking Mode that consumes less than 1mA of power. When your vehicle is parked, the dash cam enters a deep sleep state, waking up instantly upon impact thanks to the built-in G-Sensor.

This incredible efficiency means your car battery is protected from drain, allowing for weeks of standby time compared to just days with traditional dashcams.

For extended recording, you can pair this system with a dedicated battery pack like the BlackVue B-130A Ultra Battery.

Connect Anywhere with BlackVue Cloud

Future-proof your vehicle security with BlackVue Cloud. By adding the optional LTE Connectivity Module, you can keep your BlackVue Elite 9 connected to the internet 24/7. This enables powerful features such as Remote Live View, real-time impact notifications, and GPS tracking.

Even without the LTE module, the built-in dual-band Wi-Fi allows for high-speed connection to your smartphone. Simply use the app to browse videos, change settings, or download critical clips instantly. The BlackVue acts as your silent witness, keeping you connected to your car from anywhere.

Super Night Vision with HDR

Driving conditions are rarely perfect, but the BlackVue Elite is designed to adapt. The front cam features HDR (High Dynamic Range), which automatically corrects exposure in high-contrast scenes. This prevents video from being blown out by bright sunlight or obscured by deep shadows in tunnels.

Combined with the low-light sensitivity of the STARVIS 2 sensors, the Elite 9 delivers exceptional night vision. Whether you are driving on an unlit country road or parking in a dim garage, the 4K footage remains sharp and usable.

Massive Storage and Loop Recording

High-resolution 4K video requires significant storage space. The BlackVue Elite 9 supports microSD cards up to 1TB, allowing you to store weeks of driving history before the loop recording feature begins overwriting the oldest files.

Efficient H.265 video compression ensures that files remain high quality without taking up unnecessary space. This robust storage capability makes this dash cam perfect for long road trips or commercial drivers who need to retain footage for extended periods.

Longer Recording, Less Space

The Elite 9 uses HEVC (H.265) compression, the leading standard in 4K recording. This allows the camera to store more footage at higher quality without eating up storage space. With support for microSD cards up to 1TB, you get serious recording capacity.

At High quality settings (30+20 Mbps), a 256GB card holds around 10 hours of footage. A 1TB card stretches that to over 41 hours. The Adaptive Format-Free system also reduces wear on your SD card, and up to 50 event files are protected from being overwritten, so your most important clips stay safe.

Built to Last. Backed with Confidence.

The Elite 9 is engineered to handle real-world driving conditions. It operates reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 65°C (-4°F to 149°F), and includes overheat protection that safely shuts down the unit at 75°C (167°F) and restarts once cooled.

Instead of a lithium battery, BlackVue uses a built-in supercapacitor, which is more stable and resistant to extreme temperatures. This ensures error-free recording even if power is suddenly cut. And with a 2-year warranty included, BlackVue stands behind the Elite 9. That's durability and confidence you can count on, mile after mile.

FAQs

What is the "Power Saving" Parking Mode?

The Elite 9 utilizes a low-power circuit design that consumes less than 1mA in standby mode. It wakes up and starts recording only when the G-Sensor detects an impact. This drastically reduces power consumption compared to traditional dashcam motion detection, saving your car battery.

Do I need the optional LTE module?

The LTE module is required only if you want to use BlackVue Cloud features remotely. If you only plan to view footage while inside the vehicle via Wi-Fi, the module is not necessary. You can buy the module here: BlackVue CM100G LTE Module.

How does the Elite 9 differ from other models?

The Elite 9 features the newer "Power Saving" architecture for ultra-efficient parking surveillance. It also utilizes Sony STARVIS 2 sensors for both front and rear cameras (IMX678 + IMX675), ensuring superior dynamic range across all channels.

Is the Elite 9 compatible with my vehicle?

Yes, the BlackVue Elite 9 is designed for universal compatibility. It includes a hardwiring kit for installation into your vehicle's fuse box. For professional installation assistance, check our Dash Cam Installation Hub.

What SD card size should I use?

Since the dash cam records in 4K UHD, video files are large. We recommend using at least a 128GB or 256GB card. For maximum retention, the system supports cards up to 1TB.

Does this camera record audio?

Yes, the BlackVue has a built-in microphone that records audio inside the cabin. This can be useful for capturing interactions with law enforcement or passengers. Audio recording can be toggled off via the settings.

Can I install this myself?

Many customers choose to install dash cams themselves. The included hardwiring kit connects to your fuse box. If you are new to this, we have a comprehensive guide in our Dash Cam New Buyers Guide. Alternatively, you can Contact Us for help.
