The PowerCell 8 is a dash cam battery designed, tested and backed by your most trusted dash cam name, BlackboxMyCar. The battery is engineered and assembled in South Korea.

Sporting a slimmer design, the PowerCell 8 carries 25% more power than the Cellink NEO, giving you up to 35 hours of parking mode protection for a dual-channel system.

The BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 can be charged fully within 50 minutes of driving with the rapid and safe charging control circuit.

When you purchase a dash cam battery pack to power your dash cam for parking mode, you have one fundamental question to answer, and that’s how are you going to connect the battery pack to your dash cam. Power Duration Capabilities

A fully charged BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 battery pack can run a single 1-channel dash camera for up to 48 hours, while a dual-channel system can be run for about 35 hours with its integrated 96Wh. This measurement based on continuous runtime.

How Does It Work?

When vehicle's ignition is switched ON, PowerCell 8 battery pack charges and supplies power to the dashcam.

When vehicle's ignition is switched OFF, PowerCell 8 battery pack supplies power to the dashcam independently until power depletes.

1. Simple installation using 12V Power Cable

Just plug the battery into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle using the included 12V Power Cable.

2. Hardwire installation using Hardwiring Cable

For fastest charging speed, connect the battery to the fuse panel.

Changing Passwords

If you are planning on changing the battery password, you will need to enter the default password '1234' when prompted for the old password.

Note: There is no password retrieval or reset function. Password reset is a function that can only be performed by technicians at the manufacturer. The Reset function within the Battery Manager App is for resetting the default battery settings (ie. the Dual Charger setting) only and will not reset the password back to the default "1234".

Because of this, we strongly recommend that you don't change the password unless you absolutely needed to, and if you do change it, make sure to keep a record of the new password. Once you have changed the password, you will be asked to re-enter it every time you access the Settings menu within the Battery Manager App.

Works great! Easy installation. Came with everything I needed.

Best external dashcam battery so far

I initially purchased the Bi-750 and after using it for several weeks and seeing how reliable and trouble-free it is, I also ordered the extension battery, the BE-750. After using both batteries for several months, I have no issues so far. Both batteries are easy to set up and comes with a BBMYCar spliced cable to enable Parking Mode on the Viofo A129 Duo. I can recommend both batteries.

Nice design - could use some refinements

A battery's usefulness is it's ability to hold a charge over time (so will update after more use). Overall nice battery without any real problems.
The label surrounding the plugs is not staying on. The wires to cars fuses could be a couple of feet longer - I had to install under passenger seat, since my amp is under driver's seat and the wires are stretched to their limit (Tacoma so not large truck). The App is hit or miss and could use better connectivity. Manual could show examples in the pictures to simplify installation.
Will review the BE-750 after one of my trips leaving the car parked for a few days.

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT!

This latest entry into the battery pack market is an excellent investment for anyone who wants to protect their parked vehicle without ever having to hardwire their dash cam. I love the slim profile, USB ports, and, of course, large capacity. I use the BI-750 to power my Viofo A129 Duo while parked. I also have a Cellink Neo pack (made by the same Korean manufacturer) to power my Thinkware u1000 in parking mode and, although the older battery pack does a great job, the BI-750 raises the bar considerably.

I should mention, too, that the BBMC folks give amazing support. I had ordered the cigarette socket output (because I hadn't researched enough or asked pre-sales questions) and soon learned that it didn't support parking mode on the Viofo. The customer service person I finally called, was most helpful and informative. She immediately had the correct cable sent out and now the Viofo parking mode performs flawlessly. BTW, she also cheerfully generated a refund for the price difference on the BI-750 that had gone on sale. As promised on their website, BBMC truly did honour their price reduction guarantee. I wish I had known about these guys earlier - they would have saved me a lot of time (and probably $$, too)!

BlackboxMyCar BI-750

Let me first say that I love this battery! I currently use this battery with my Blackvue 900x 2 Channel. Now I have used the Blackvue Battery B124x it was an ok battery I actually sold it. Personally I think the BI-750 has a better feel(quality and appearance), and has a lot more features than the big brand battery especially with the phone app. I have a F150 don't really want the battery under the seat when I can run it, and mount it to the rear back seats. I found that the power cord (hardwire cord) for the battery wasn't long enough. Hopefully in the future you guys can make it longer. I will definitely purchase the BE-750 in the near future!

Great size and very easy to install. I hardwired the kit with the accessories provided by BlackBoxMyCar. And if you’re not planning on hardwiring and using the cigar lighter, even easier. Also, the It’s Cell app makes checking the charge a piece of cake. I have it running my Thinkware U1000 with a Radar module and don’t have to worry about tapping out my car batt. So far so good.
