Overview

BlackVue CM100G LTE Module for DR970X and DR770X Series

External 4G LTE module built for hassle-free Cloud connectivity anytime, anywhere

This CM100G LTE-M is the North American version and is only compatible with North American SIM cards from T-Mobile, Telus, Rogers, Bell and their MVNOs. The CM100G LTE does not work with 5G cards and is not compatible with any SIM cards from AT&T and Verizon.

*Requires 4G SIM cards from T-Mobile (or relative providers)

The BlackVue CM100G LTE is an optional external LTE module built to elevate your BlackVue Cloud experience with the DR970X/DR770X and X-Plus series, including previous DR750X and DR900X models.

Built-in LTE category 4 offers fast, uninterrupted access to the BlackVue Cloud. Simply insert an active SIM card and connect the module to your DR970X/DR770X (including previous DR900X/DR750X models) or X-Plus dash cam to stay connected to enjoy the BlackVue Cloud features anytime, from anywhere in the world.

The BlackVue CM100G LTE module is powered by the dashcam and includes a SIM card reader.

Mobile Hotspot Function

Once paired with a Cloud-compatible BlackVue dash cam, the CM100G LTE Module can serve as a mobile spot for up to 5 devices.

NOTE: Each CM100G LTE Module can only be paired to one (1) BlackVue dash cams. In other words, you won'be be able to connect 2 or more BlackVue Cloud dash cams to the same CM100G LTE Module.

Features

LTE Connectivity Module

With DR970X and DR770X models, you can connect the LTE Connectivity Module (CM100LTE) which is powered by the dashcam and provides 4G LTE connectivity for your dashcam.

This allows you to connect your dashcam to BlackVue Cloud and receive notifications to your phone when your parked car gets hit. It also lets you remotely see what your dashcam sees in real time. Being powered by the dashcam, you do not need to worry about the CM100LTE running out of power like you might with a self-powered router.

BlackVue Cloud Anytime, Anywhere

Enjoy remote Live View and Push Notifications to your phone.

Visualize your car's location and speed on the map with GPS tracking.

Back up important videos to the Cloud remotely.

Play and download videos from your dashcam’s memory or the Cloud from anywhere.

Enjoy Two-way Voice Communication with the driver from the app through the BlackVue’s integrated speaker and mic.

Mobile Hotspot Function

With Mobile Hotspot Function, your compatible BlackVue can now turn into a mobile internet router for up to five devices* concurrently. This means you and your passengers can now use your BlackVue’s internet on your laptop, portable game console, tablet or mobile. To connect to the BlackVue, simply open your devices’ Wi-Fi menu, select the BlackVue and enter the dashcam’s Wi-Fi password.

Good cam, bad app

Glad I got this camera setup. Great quality hardware and included accessories. The app is frustrating to use. Would gladly swap to another app that can utilize the hardware.

Amazing device that lets you keep an eye on your car anywhere in the world!

I’m from Canada and I love this product. It makes the DR900X even better. Works with a Rogers SIM card and I can keep an eye on my car from anywhere in the world. I love the updates/ notifications as well. My next purchase will be a battery to extend the life while in parking mode!

Instant connection for my dash cam!

If you hate how finicky your dash cams wanting to connect to a Wi-Fi hot spot connection is, then get this LTE module. You’ll be happy you did. Oh and don’t waste your time trying to get a SIM card to work with AT&T. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a very nice CS and her manager and they just just couldn’t make it happen. Not sure why I thought my experience would be different, but I guess I thought I’d be one of the success stories I read from a few commenters online. Sadly mine was with the majority of horror stories. Lol. Anyways, go with a T-mobile sim and it’ll work flawlessly. You can even get one online if there isn’t a nearby T-mobile store.

Setup a breeze

Once I inserted the T-Mobile SIM and went through the easy setup I was up and running. I was surprised it was that easy to configure.

Works great, even tucked away

It took a bit of back and forth with my carrier to get this to work, but once my plan was sorted out, I was easily able to activate the sim card through my DR900X. I decided I'd try to use it by just leaving the unit tucked up under the headliner. I expected it to have poor signal since it was so close to the car's metal roof, but so far it seems to be working just fine, and I don't need to have something extra mounted to my windshield.

If there was one negative, it would be the high price. A device that adds LTE functionality to a dashcam should definitely not cost more than $50 or so, but what can you expect when the lockout option for the same camera is $50 itself. Blackvue charges a premium for their products, but they do work really well, so to me it's worth it.

Quick and Easy Access to the Cloud

Great accessory for my DR900X-2CH. Very easy to install and connect to the cloud. Great connection quality, too... I'm 3 levels down in a parking garage and I can still get a good quality signal. Added perks such as remote camera viewing and GPS tracking make this a worthwhile investment. Black Box My Car also had it out the door and delivered to me very quickly. I'm very pleased I purchased this to go along with my dashcam.

Does the "BlackVue CM100G LTE Module (for DR970X/DR770X Series, NA Version) " come with a blackvue SIM card? if not how much is one?

BlackboxMyCar Canada

The BlackVue CM100G LTE Module (for DR970X/DR770X Series, NA Version) does not come with a BlackVue SIM card included. You would need to purchase a SIM card separately. Only BlackVue sells the BlackVue SIM card. You can also consider 3rd party carriers like Telus, Rogers, Bell and their MVNOs.

BlackboxMyCar Canada

Yes, the IROAD OBD-II Power Cable is compatible with the Ford F150 Hybrid vehicle. It's important to select the correct cable option designed specifically for hybrid vehicles to ensure proper functionality.

With the Blackvue DR900X-2CH Plus do I need an LTE module to access the cloud if I have data on my cell phone?

BlackboxMyCar Canada

If the BlackVue LTE module is not used, then an Internet source (such as a hotspot device) but connect and remain in close proximity with the dash cam in order to access BlackVue's Cloud features.
