I find the app. really difficult and frustrating to use. Keeps disconnecting from the camera, firmware update button does absolutely nothing, doesn't say if firmware is up to date or not.

Thanks for your feedback, Mike. It sounds like you may be using the older VIOFO app, which has since been replaced.

We recommend downloading and using the newer VIOFO Dashcam app, as it has an improved interface and should handle firmware updates and camera connection more reliably. If you continue having trouble after switching apps, please reach out to our team and we’d be happy to help troubleshoot.
