I have experience with 4 examples of 3 different models of dash cam now (1 cheapo amazon unit, 1 VIOFO A129 and 2 A119 V3s) and this is borderline a necessity to get the most out of your camera, especially if you rather not lose any ports in your vehicle. Having the parking mode available is extremely helpful, and the hardwire kit is simple enough to install if you have basic wiring skills, which are not difficult to learn. Especially for only 30 bucks more, it's good value for what you get, especially for the quality of VIOFO's cameras for the value, and the voltage cutoff is fairly easy to understand and adjust

I have the Viofo A119 v3 and I purchased this kit to hardwire my camera to my Suburban. You will need to get two add-a-fuse adapters to make this work but once you get everything, the install is pretty easy. Follow the directions or watch the videos and your won't have any problems but if you do, know that Blackboxmycar hey very knowledgeable people that can help hey you thru it. If you want to hardwire your Viofo dashcam, this is the hardwire kit you're looking for.

I sent in a request to help me figure out which hardwire kit to purchase and was provided concise and helpful information by the cx team to make sure I was getting the product I wanted and that it would be a smooth installation process. I received the product earlier than the estimated time - have not had a chance to install yet so can't comment about that yet but would definitely use BlackBox again in the future.

If I can install this kit then you can as well. I received a Viofo A129 Pro for Christmas and wanted to hardwire it to my 2021 Mazda CX-30. I bought this kit along with the fuse tap kit. The unfortunate thing about the CX-30, and the new Mazda3’s, is that all of the fuses inside the car stay energized. The only fuses that shut off with the ignition are in the fuse panel under the hood. I had to run extra wire through the firewall where the main wiring harness comes through. Kind of a pain, but doable, and not the fault of BBMC. Thanks Mazda! BBMC was great when I chatted with a tech online. And their YouTube videos were a lot of help with install and set up of my cam.

Instructions were not complicated, made installation very easy. Doesn't use power socket so I can use to charge other things.

I purchased this product because plugging the camera to the cigarette lighter was draining my battery. Now that it’s hardwire to the fuse box, it’s not draining my battery. It’s super easy to instal.

This VIOFO Is one of the best Dash Came ever I love it

Bought this hard wire kit for my dash cam. Worked perfect. Comes with no instructions. I found out the hard way that you have to connect both the red and the yellow to 12 volt power regardless of how you you set up the camera modes or the camera will not power up.
