Looks Like new. Packaged like new. Awesome warranty,. My 3rd Blackvue dash cam, started with dr650 2ch, then 900 2ch and now the 970x lte refurbished.
Thanks for the review, William! We really appreciate your continued support across multiple BlackVue upgrades. Glad to hear your refurbished DR970X LTE arrived like new and met expectations.
What an awesome 4K resolution! My third BlackVue.. an upgrade from my 750XL LTE! ❤️
Thanks for the review, Roseller! We really appreciate your continued support across multiple BlackVue models. Glad to hear the DR970X-2CH LTE Plus II has been a great upgrade and that you’re enjoying the 4K resolution.
Install was the most difficult part if you plan to DIY it.
The front camera captures amazing video. Low light or otherwise. It’s a little large because of the built-in LTE. If you need it, you know you need it.
The back camera is perfectly suitable for parking events, motion detection, and such. It’s not the most phenomenal image, but it will let you make out a license plate that bumps you. Or clearly show you anyone too close to your car.
I like the security light that faces outside. It’s bright enough to be noticed from a distance. My Mom noticed it right away from about 150 feet away. It’s small but mighty!
I am happy with this unit and feel like I can trust the company’s staying power. The space for always-on security units is limited. I had OwlCam, while they were around. It burned badly. So I overly researched BlackVue.
I feel good in purchasing from them. Great product, working app, and fast downloads of event clips. Granular settings make it easy to fine tune it.
Very happy with my purchase of the BlackVue DR970X-2CH LTE Plus II from BlackboxMycar. Fast delivery and great service! Haven’t installed the dashcam yet, but it feels reliable and well-built. Highly recommend!
Thanks for your review, Shah! We’re glad to hear you had a great experience with delivery and service, and we’re confident you’ll enjoy the DR970X-2CH LTE Plus II once it’s installed.
Camera works great and installation was a beeeze
This device is GREAT ! In my experience, this device will only work with a T-Mobile "Prepaid" SIM card, or a BlackVue SIM card in North America. I am unaware if an AT&T SIM card will work with this device. Save yourself some trouble and do your research to see which SIM cards will work with your device, depending upon your location. I followed the cloud connection steps in the BV App, which told me that my setup was complete. However, if the cloud icon does not turn blue in the BV app next to the camera name, then your camera is not connected to the cloud. My only option was to use the BlackVue Sim card and connect to the BlackVue cloud. The front camera is larger than I expected. Installation is pretty straightforward. I opted to install the BlackVue battery pack under the drivers seat. Search YouTube for installation guides for your specific vehicle. You may need to remove the vehicle camera shroud behind the rearview mirror in order to fish the wires behind the front headliner. The cameras work very well. I had to adjust the settings in order to obtain optimal performance. BBMC stands behind their products. Troubleshoot with them first if you have a problem, then contact BlackVue Warranty returns are pretty easy. Be sure to ask for a return label if shipping to Canada. You will have to pay for the return label which includes customs forms. This may have changed recently, so be sure to check with BBMC before you return anything. They have recently added US return locations, so you don't have the hassle of requesting a label from BBMC and dealing with U.S. Customs.
Arrived broken and they won't refund me for it.
Great and better than any other lte I had. It’s fast when connecting to lte for live view. Recommend with a battery
Great product, top quality and would recommend.
Everything works well, but the LTE SIM setup can be a bit challenging. The SIM slot should be relocated to eliminate the need to remove the power and rear camera cable to access it.
I've never felt safer than with this camera installed. It helped me not just for accidents but for avoiding them too by reviewing footage and seeing patterns I could avoid. Setting up wasn’t too bad, but the phone app could be better optimized. Delighted with this way more than past cameras!
Drove across country last month and this cam captured everything beautifully. Perfectly records all those beautiful landscapes along the way too! Hooking it up to get it to work with the LTE feature took a while as the instructions were a bit unclear, but I called support and they helped out a lot.
I called to activate the sim card that came with my camera, the camera worked fine for like two days then it wouldn’t let me view it live. Did the chat thing on the website and the representative is saying I need to pay for a separate plan apart from the cloud plan, for the SIM card BlackVue provided with the camera… I looked everywhere on the website and no where does it say an additional plan has to be paid monthly in order to use the live view feature with the smart plan for cloud.
I was initially hesitant due to the price but after a friend's recommendation, I went for it. The image quality is unlike anything I've seen - it's like watching a movie. After being rear-ended, I saw the footage clearly showed the other driver's face and license plate. The app could be better, a bit clunky but manageable. Overall, I feel a lot safer knowing I have it running.
After monthes of research, I finally decided to get this dashcam and boy am I glad I did! Last week some guy tried to claim I hit him in a parking lot but the 4K footage showed him backing into ME! The video quality is insane - you can literally read license plates from far away. Had a small issue connecting to wifi at first but figured it out. Definately worth every penny and saved me from a insurance nightmare!
Hardware quality is top-notch and the 4K video is head and shoulders above my last cam. Hasn't let me down on long routes—even overseas. It’s been invaluable for peace of mind, both on and off the road. Wish the supporting hardware came with more detailed instructions.
Simply put, I don’t think I'd drive without it anymore. More than once, bad drivers have tried to swerve into my lane and the footage clearly shows who’s at fault. The app tends to be a bit laggy though when trying to quickly download a long video in HD. Other than that, top product.
Been using this cam for about 3 months now and its pretty amazing tbh. The cloud features are super conveniant - my wife can check on the car whenever she wants which gives her peace of mind. Installation took longer then expected (about 2 hrs) but youtube videos helped alot. Only complaint is the monthly subsription fee for cloud storage seems abit steep. Still giving 5 stars cause the features are worth it if u can afford it. Also the parking mode has already caught someone door dinging me!
Tbh I was skeptical about needing cloud storage, but it's saved my footage so many times. I’ve got every trip uploaded so I don’t have to worry about space or losing a critical clip. It does eat data quickly though, so prepare your plan accordingly. That's a heads up I'd give to anyone considering this purchase.
I bought this dash cam a few months ago, mostly for night driving on my Uber shifts. The Sony STARVIS sensor is legit amazing. I can see everything, even in near-total darkness. Wish I had this sooner; my last cam was rubbish at night. Took some fiddling to get the settings just right, but once it's set up, you can forget about it. Literally a life-changer for nighttime driving safety.
The dashcam eases the burden of proof in case of any issues. LTE feature is a bit of a mixed bag due to coverage variances but when it works, it's fantastic. You know you’ve made a good purchase when it stops becoming the thing that looms, and instead just works quietly in the background.
It’s incredibly reassuring knowing any potentially challenging scenario is stored in ultra-clear 4K. Impressed by low-light performance and parking mode is my new favorite feature. Set it and totally be at peace missing no critical moments! Highly recommend for serious coverage needs.
With the motion-detecting parking mode, it caught a would-be thief snooping around my vehicle at night. The police said the quality of the recordings was exactly what they needed. It was a game-changer for my peace of mind knowing there's always something watching over my car when I can't be there.
This dash cam has stood up to rigorous use, from scorching summer days to freezing winter nights. Connectivity to the cloud could be more consistent, but the hardware never fails. Love the parking mode feature that keeps capturing even when I’m away. Plus, it’s caught a couple of suspicious incidents around my car recently. Feels like having an extra set of eyes!
Recently upgraded to this model and have been nothing but impressed. LTE gives constant updates and alerts for anything unusual. The app isn't the most polished, but it is functional for basic reviewing. Have peace of mind no matter where I park.
Had a false allegation twice before finally getting this dash cam. The dash cam cleared things up straight away. Got both the front and rear cams, super helpful to cover all bases. It is a bit complex for anyone who isn’t tech-savvy though, especially the initial setup process.
Had someone run a light right in front of me, and normally that'd be a back-and-forth with insurance. The footage from my cam was so clear, it was settled in days. The 4K quality is perfect for seeing those tiny details. I did have to fiddle with the angles a bit to make sure nothing was blocking the view, but once it was in place it was a dream. If only it wasn't so pricey. Still, no regrets!
I really didn't believe the hype until I set it up and saw it in action. No more he-said, she-said situations when someone cuts you off or hits your car. The app could be a little more intuitive though. I've only had a few minor connectivity issues, mostly when pairing new devices. Other than that, absolutely a must-have for anyone serious about driving safety!
The ease of use on the dash cam itself is wonderful, but like others noted, the app has minor bugs. I agree that in certain spots the connectivity could stand to improve. But for anyone considering a powerful tool against roadway claims, this is it.
Is this the same LTE device used with the Blackvue Elite9?
Yes, it is
