A front-only recording can miss what happens behind your vehicle. The A229 Plus adds a separate rear camera, with 2560 × 1440 recording from each view.

The included rear camera records at 30FPS. Both cameras use 5MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors.

Bright daylight and deep shadows can appear in the same scene. HDR helps balance those extremes in recordings from both supplied cameras.
Two IMX675 sensors
Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2, so the rear view gets the same sensor family as the front.
HDR front and rear
Use 30FPS for front HDR. Front 60FPS and HDR cannot be used together.
Optional reflection control
Add the CPL-200 front or CPL-300 rear filter when needed. Both are separate for this Plus kit.
No camera guarantees a readable license plate in every scene.

Set it up
in the car.
Use the 2.4-inch screen and physical buttons to check framing and settings while parked. Supported voice commands let you lock a clip or take a photo without reaching for the camera.
Spoken status notifications
Listen for recording and memory-card notifications, then check the issue once it is safe to stop.

For parking recording, add compatible constant power, such as the optional VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit. Its ignition signal switches the camera into parking mode, and its cutoff helps protect the vehicle battery.
Our PowerCell 8 is another option with the matching VIOFO connection. Duration depends on available power, cutoff settings, temperature and recording mode.

Can I use front 60FPS and HDR together?
No. Choose front 2K at 60FPS with HDR off, or 30FPS with HDR on. The rear records 2K at 30FPS. The dual-HDR setup described here uses 30FPS on both cameras.
Are the memory card, filters and hardwire kit included?
No. A compatible high-endurance microSD card, front CPL-200, rear CPL-300 and parking-power accessories are sold separately. Choose the exact options in the kit builder.
Can I watch my car remotely?
The Wi-Fi connection works with a nearby phone. This A229 Plus has no built-in LTE or cloud service for remote live view or parking push alerts.
How long will parking recording last?
Duration depends on the power source, cutoff settings, temperature, recording mode and battery condition. A vehicle socket that switches off with the ignition cannot keep supplying parking power.
Should I choose the Plus or Pro?
The Plus records 2K front and rear. Choose the A229 Pro 2CH if 4K front recording is your priority; its rear camera also records 2K. Compare the complete setup price with storage and any parking-power accessories.
