The U3000 Pro handles simultaneous recording from both the front and interior cameras without any additional equipment, saving all footage to the same microSD card for easy review. All settings and video playback are managed through the Thinkware Connected app for a seamless experience.
 
Its compact, lightweight body mounts discreetly near your rearview mirror with minimal wiring, and it powers on automatically with your U3000 Pro every time you start your car. Please note that the interior camera and the LTE module cannot be used simultaneously, as they share the same accessory port on the U3000 Pro.

FAQs

Is this camera compatible with any other Thinkware dash cam?

No. This interior infrared camera is designed exclusively for use with the Thinkware U3000 Pro dash cam. It will not work with any other Thinkware model. If you need an interior camera for an older Thinkware model, please check the Interior Infrared Cabin Camera for Q200 / F790 / F200 Pro / X800 / X700.

Does this camera record audio?

No, this interior camera does not have its own microphone. All audio is recorded by the main U3000 Pro front-facing dash cam unit.

Why does my daytime interior footage have a purple tint?

This is normal. The infrared (IR) sensors are always active to ensure the camera is ready for low-light conditions. This can cause a slight purple hue in daytime recordings, which is a standard characteristic of cameras with 24/7 infrared monitoring capability.

Can I use this interior camera and the LTE module at the same time?

No. The Thinkware U3000 Pro has a single port for optional accessories, so you must choose between connecting the Interior Infrared Camera or the LTE module. They cannot be used simultaneously.

Is this camera difficult to install?

Installation is very straightforward. The camera mounts to your windshield with an adhesive pad and connects to the main U3000 Pro unit with the included cable. For the cleanest look, the cable can be tucked along the headliner. Thinkware also provides an installation guide to help you get set up quickly.
