Is the Vantrue Nexus N5S a 4-channel dash cam?
The N5S records front-road, front-cabin, rear-cabin and rear-road views at the same time. It gives you two interior angles alongside the road views. It does not provide an unobstructed view of every part of the vehicle.
What resolution does the Vantrue N5S record in?
The Vantrue N5S records up to 2K QHD / 1944P front, 1080P front cabin, 1080P rear cabin, and 2K QHD / 1440P rear footage at 30FPS.
Does the Vantrue N5S use Sony STARVIS 2?
Yes. The Vantrue N5S uses four Sony STARVIS 2 sensors. The front and rear cameras use IMX675 sensors, while the front cabin and rear cabin cameras use IMX662 sensors with Interior IR for low-light cabin recording.
Is the Vantrue N5S good for rideshare drivers?
Yes. The Vantrue N5S is a strong rideshare dash cam because it records the road, front cabin, rear cabin, and rear traffic. This helps capture passenger activity, road incidents, and rear-end events in one system.
Does the Vantrue N5S have parking mode?
The N5S offers buffered motion detection, collision detection, low-bitrate recording and low-frame-rate recording. Parking use needs a compatible external power setup. The hardwiring kit is sold separately.
Does the Vantrue N5S have Wi-Fi and GPS?
Yes. The Vantrue N5S includes built-in 2.4GHz / 5GHz Wi-Fi for app access and built-in GPS for route, speed, and location data.
What size microSD card does the Vantrue N5S support?
The Vantrue N5S supports microSD cards up to 1TB. A larger high-endurance card is recommended because 4-channel recording creates more footage than a front-only or 2-channel dash cam.
