The Thinkware option is a factory-made 7m hardwire cable, approximately 23ft end to end. Thinkware manufactures it at this length; it is not a shorter cable extended by BlackboxMyCar. Confirm the fit for your exact camera; the standard Thinkware connection does not fit the F790 or F550.

The VIOFO option is the USB-C HK3-C kit for A139 and A139 Pro cameras, with approximately 4ft (1.2m) added to the standard cable. It is different from the mini-USB standard VIOFO HK3 kit. Other USB-C VIOFO models may require HK4, HK5 or HK6, so connector shape alone is not enough to choose a kit.

The Thinkware cable is 7m long, approximately 23ft, from end to end. Thinkware manufactures it at this length; we do not extend a shorter cable. Measure the complete route first. Fuse-box position, trim routing and vehicle length all affect the cable needed; the product name alone does not establish a fit.

Is the VIOFO cable also 7m total?

No. The VIOFO HK3-C option is described by its added length: approximately 4ft (1.2m) beyond the standard cable. Confirm your required end-to-end route before ordering if the fit is tight.

Which cameras use the VIOFO HK3-C option?

VIOFO specifies HK3-C for A139 and A139 Pro cameras. It uses USB-C, but that does not make it interchangeable with every other VIOFO USB-C kit.

Does the Thinkware option fit F790 or F550?

No. Those models require a different compatible power cable. Check your exact camera before selecting the Thinkware option.

Do I need to buy another hardwire kit?

Does hardwiring guarantee overnight recording?

No. Parking operation depends on the camera, its settings, the wiring and the power available. Follow the manufacturer's battery cut-off and installation instructions.

What else should I check for installation?

Measure the full installation route before ordering, including turns around trim. For the fuse-box connection, choose an Add-a-Fuse kit that matches the vehicle's fuse type and use a suitable circuit tester to identify the circuits. Follow the kit and camera instructions for constant power, accessory power, ground and parking settings.
