Does the Vantrue N4S use Sony STARVIS 2?
Yes. The N4S uses triple Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 CMOS sensors, which helps improve detail capture in low light, night driving, tunnels, rain, and high-contrast road conditions.
What is PlatePix on the Vantrue N4S?
PlatePix is Vantrue's image processing technology designed to help capture clearer licence plate detail. It is especially useful in difficult lighting where glare, shadows, and motion can reduce plate readability.
Does the Vantrue N4S have parking mode?
The N4S offers motion detection, collision detection, low-bitrate recording and low-frame-rate recording while parked. A compatible hardwiring or battery setup is a separate purchase.
Is the rear camera waterproof?
Yes. This package includes the IP67-rated RC09 rear camera. For exterior installation, seal the cable connection with a heat-shrink sleeve following Vantrue’s instructions. The sleeve is not included and must be obtained separately. Check the vehicle and cable route before choosing an exterior mounting position.
Does the Vantrue N4S have Wi-Fi and GPS?
Yes. The N4S includes built-in 2.4GHz / 5GHz Wi-Fi for app access and a built-in dual-system GPS logger for route and driving data.
Who is the Vantrue N4S best for?
Choose the N4S when you need one cabin view plus front and rear road recording. If two interior angles matter, compare the four-view N5S layout before choosing.
