Which VIOFO cameras use the HK6?
VIOFO lists A329S-series cameras, A119M Pro, A229 Pro and A229 Plus; its A329T guidance also specifies HK6. A229 Ultra is listed for the advanced voltage and Hybrid features. Confirm the exact camera and firmware because power compatibility and advanced-function support are different checks.
What does HK6 add compared with HK4?
For supported cameras, HK6 adds battery-voltage communication and voltage-based Hybrid switching. VIOFO also documents time-based transitions with HK4 on supported A329S firmware. Do not assume that every Hybrid function requires HK6, or that every USB-C camera gains these functions.
How does the battery-voltage display work?
The kit broadcasts battery voltage over Bluetooth and a supported camera receives it automatically. The camera can include that reading in video. This feature does not provide remote access to footage.
Does it need to pair with my phone?
No phone pairing is required for the kit's voltage broadcast. VIOFO advises resetting the camera to default settings when replacing an HK6 with another HK6 so the camera can associate with the new unit.
Will it provide the same features on A229 Pro or A229 Plus?

Does the HK6 use only microamps while recording?
No. The ≤300 µA figure describes the kit when the camera is off. A camera that is recording or monitoring for impacts also consumes power; that figure is not the complete system load.
How long can it run in parking mode?
There is no guaranteed runtime. Camera configuration, recording mode, battery condition and charge, temperature and cut-off settings all affect operating time. Low-power impact detection also has different recording behavior from continuous parking recording.
Are fuse taps or an A119M Pro included?
No. This product is the HK6 kit. The camera, fuse taps and installation tools are separate, and the A119M Pro standard package does not include a hardwire kit.
Can I use it in a 24V vehicle?
Yes. HK6 supports 12V and 24V vehicle systems. Follow the kit markings and vehicle instructions when selecting connections and voltage settings.
How do I choose the hardware and camera voltage settings?
Follow the instructions for your camera and vehicle battery. For voltage-based Hybrid operation, VIOFO specifies a camera threshold above the selected hardware threshold so that the camera can change mode before the kit disconnects power.
