What’s New with the FineVu GX1000 Dual Channel Dash Cam?

2022 was a bang for FineVu here at BlackboxMyCar. The South Korean brand started the year with the launch of what we then considered a new challenger - the FineVu GX33. Just a couple of months after, we introduced another flagship dashcam through the FineVu GX300.

Both dash cam models have been given high-ratings by our customers, with advanced features that you can find on premium dash cams such as 2K QHD for the front of the GX300, advanced safety features like AI Damage Detection and Power Saving Parking mode for the GX33, plus the space-saving Smart Time Lapse feature for both.

And now, just a few days before we wrap the year up, FineVu hits on another surprise for dash cam enthusiasts with the all-new FineVu GX1000 2K QHD Dual Channel Dash Cam. With new features in store, let's see if the GX1000 is worth to be called 'the last but never the least' FineVu entry this year.

Introducing: The All-New FineVu GX1000 2K QHD Dual Channel Dash Cam

5.1 MP Image Sensors

Image quality is one of the GX1000's major improvements. The FineVu GX1000 is outfitted with the most recent 5.1MP Sony Exmor R STARVIS image sensors in front, and another set of 5.1MP for its rear. Yes, both have the same image sensors so you can have a balanced view of the road ahead and the traffic behind.

2K QHD for front, 2K QHD for the rear

In comparison to the FineVu GX33 and FineVu GX300, which only offer FHD front and rear and QHD front + FHD rear, the GX1000 offers excellent 2K QHD @ 30FPS video footage, aided by HDR and Auto Night Vision, which optimize video quality by automatically tuning to deliver bright images in low-light and high-contrast settings.

Safety and Security: AI Damage Detection and AI Temperature Monitoring

AI Damage Detection 2.0

In the event of an impact, the AI Damage Detection automatically scans the entire vehicle body structure using machine learning technology and sensors. The damaged area is divided into eight directions and reported in different impact size levels. When you get back into your car and start the engine, the FineVu GX1000 will notify you of the impact, and the WiFi app will show you which area was likely hit as well as a video clip of the incident.

AI 2.0 Temperature monitoring

While some dash cams easily shut down when exposed to hot regions and temperatures, the FineVu GX1000 ensures that it will continue to do its job even if it becomes hot. The FineVu GX1000 is designed to withstand high temperatures in hotter climates, constantly monitoring the ambient temperature and switching to Power Saving Mode if extreme heat is detected.

Convenience: Power Saving Mode, Smart Time Lapse, Language Auto-Adjust

Power saving mode

The FineVu GX1000 also has a Power Saving Mode to ensure that you get the most out of your dash cam. With its GPS turned off, the GX1000 consumes only 0.06W for two channels when parked.

Smart Time Lapse

The FineVu GX1000's Smart Time Lapse feature allows you to save more footage on your microSD card. When an event is detected, the recording frame rate is automatically reduced to 6 frames per second before returning to 30FPS full frame rate to ensure that the event is properly captured while tripling, if not quadrupling, the storage capacity on your microSD.

Language Auto-Adjust

The FineVu GX1000 supports nine languages, including English, French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Polish, Russian, and Dutch. The FineVu mobile app will auto-detect the language used on your smartphone and change the app language so you don’t have to fiddle around with the app settings to find the language you need.

What's new on the FineVu App?

Low voltage shut offs

When the power falls below the preset voltage, it will automatically cut off the power to protect the car battery. Through the FineVu app, the FineVu GX1000 lets you customize the cut-off voltages. This feature prevents battery discharge and operates on backup, auxiliary, and side batteries.

Anti-flicker features

Some dash cams may experience flickering while in use due to the different voltages and frequencies. The GX1000, on the other hand, has an anti-flicker option that allows you to record at 27 fps rather than 30 fps.

New 15 FPS settings

The FineVu GX1000 now has an additional driving recording mode, specifically 15 frames per second, which can also be activated during parking mode.

FineVu GX1000 - The Biggest Surprise

With all of the new features we mentioned, most of you might expect this dash cam to be an expensive purchase. BlackboxMyCar is currently accepting pre-orders until December 19, 2022, with a very attractive pre-order special you don't want to miss!
