This dual camera system has been great so far. The front camera maxes out at 2560x1600p and the rear at 1920x1080. I have settled on 1440p + 1080p for my setup at medium bitrate, resulting in 3 minute loops that average 550-700 MB files. This means with my 64GB SD card I get about 3 days worth of recordings before they start being overwritten. The day and night quality both look good. I am currently using the low bit-rate parking mode, but I think I may like the 2 or 3 FPS parking modes better, simply because it saves space on the SD card. I have not done any conclusive testing on battery draining in low bit-rate vs FPS modes.
I did purchase the parking mode kit which gives you a couple tap-a-fuses and a battery cutoff switch. I have mine currently set to 12.2v in my Volvo V60. I have been getting a lot of "low battery" warnings since installation, but I am not sure yet if the battery needs replaced, or if 12.2v is too low of a cutoff for the infotainment system and my limited amount of daily driving does not properlly charge the battery.
The phone app is pretty good, providing you a live view with a few different options and it is well laid out. My biggest complaint is the poor wireless bandwidth considering it is upgraded to "5ghz". The app struggles a lot to play back recorded files at my current 1440p@30fps setting (~550MB). This makes it difficult to review files as it takes a long time to buffer, and buffers constantly while trying to playback through the app. I was happy to see a USB-SD card reader was included making it much easier to transfer the files to my computer.
I like the functionality/practicality of the front camera and its buttons. long-pressing the box-on-box (far right) button turns on the wifi for the unit, quickly allowing me to connect my phone. The center buton should lock the current file, but I have not tried it. The included GPS mount is a GREAT value, and you can decided whether or not to include speed and/or GPS location data in the recordings."
The included rear camera cable is a bit thinner than previous versions and is more than long enough for almost every car. On a really large SUV, or if you need to route the camera along the floor, it could possibly not be long enough.
Everything about this unit is great, with the singular exception of the wireless file playback in the Viofo app.
