Super Night Vision 3.0 with true HDR

Built for nighttime drives, the Q1000 comes equipped with Thinkware’s latest Super Night Vision 3.0 technology to enhance video brightness in low-light conditions so you don’t miss important details.

The Q1000 uses a combination of Digital Overlap High Dynamic Range (DOL HDR) and Noise Reduction technology to reduce noise and lens flare effects that typically affect nighttime footage.

Parking Surveillance

Enjoy parking protection against potential mishaps and hit-and-runs by capturing footage when an impact or motion is detected. Find the perfect Q1000’s Parking Surveillance mode for your needs by choosing from impact/motion detection, time lapse, or energy saving parking modes.

Energy Saving 2.0 in parking surveillance mode records footage triggered by impacts only, allowing the Q1000 to reduce its power consumption and remain in parking mode for a longer duration. Add the optional radar module to enable motion detection and buffered recording while remaining in Energy Saving Mode 2.0, so you have video evidence of the whole incident with footage of before and after the impact.

Built in GPS for ADAS and Safety Camera Alert

The built-in GPS antenna tracks the speed, time, and route history for a more comprehensive driving overview, and enables the dash cam to alert you of potential hazards, upcoming red light cameras and speed cameras, too. The Advanced Driver Assistance System helps you stay safe on the road with alerts for lane departures, front vehicle departures, and potential forward collisions.

High Temperature Protection System

Built-in thermal sensor and supercapacitor technology provide added safety and reliability in extreme temperatures, so your dash cam is better protected from overheating that can cause potentially irreversible damage to it or its data.

Smart parking mode prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high. The dash cam records incidents only until its operating temperature is safe again to resume motion detection or timelapse parking mode.

A lot of features at a great price

This is my 3rd Thinkware Dual Channel Dashcam. I have two Q800's and now the Q1000 for my new vehicle. The pros are Thinkware's high-quality cameras, both front and rear. Ease of use, but most of all they sustain the heat of Phoenix Arizona. With outside air temperatures reaching 118F, inside air temperatures of the parked vehicle can reach beyond 140 degrees F. The Thinkware cameras withstand the heat whereas others I've tested did not. I've had the Q800s running for four years now and zero issues, so it was a no-brainer to get the Q1000. The downside is the setup. It took more than 1.5 hours just to figure out the registration process. Luckily, I have a 12v battery pack and could work in the air conditioning of my house, as it was 110F outside when I started the installation. I watched the Vido on BBMC, and inevitably had to call them and Mark was very helpful at getting me registered and working. The installation of the front and rear camera of a Lincoln SUV actually took less time than the registration part. There are learning curves compared to the older Q800s. The Q1000 uses two new apps, but another pro is that the Q1000 quickly connects to a smartphone with ease! So, CHEERS to Thinkware for that improvement, whereas the Q800s are tough to connect to Wi-Fi on the smartphone. It's a lot of hit-and-miss. So overall, major improvements with the Q1000. The registration process needs to be made simpler.

Excellent service

I recently had a Thinkware Q1000 installed in my car, and I am delighted with the entire experience. When I asked for a quote, Michael(customer service) was prompt and informative. He patiently answered all my questions and provided me with a transparent cost. I highly recommend BlackBox MyCar Company for dash cam installation services. Their expertise, excellent customer service, and attention to detail make them a reliable choice for anyone looking to enhance their vehicle’s safety and security.

I've been dealing with Blackboxmycar since the early 2000s and this is my 4th dashcam I got from them. Their service has always been top notched and they are there to help whenever you need a hand. I've recommend them to my friends and family and I've yet to hear any complaints about them.
I had the F770 on my old vehicle and absolutely love it so when it came to getting a cam for my new car I decided to go with another Thinkware product, the Q1000. Overall it's been pretty good but a few complaints. The app isn't as user friendly as the old one, pairing with Bluetooth to adjust the setting, but needing to connect with wifi to view you video. You need to turn on your location and hotspot and turn off your adblocker for it to work. It took some help from the guys at Blackboxmycar to figure this out which leads me to number 2. I email Thinkware helpline to ask for help and so far I still haven't heard back after 10 days. I got a reply thanking me and was told some would get back to me soon. Thirdly the video quality is not up to par with other dashcams, especially night time video. The overall video is great, but when you try to read details like license plates or signs they are usually washed out unless your car is stationary. I'm still pretty happy with the purchase but I'll probably go with a different brand next time around.
