The rear camera mounts inside the rear windshield; this kit does not supply an infrared cabin or exterior Truck camera.

How do I get parking recording?

Use the included hardwiring cable with a suitable installation and set the voltage and timer cutoffs. A correct hardwire installation uses the ACC ignition signal; another maintained power source can switch modes after five stationary minutes. A switched cigarette-lighter socket cannot keep the camera recording after it loses power.

Which parking mode should I choose?

Motion-and-impact detection saves detected activity with buffered recording. The 1FPS time-lapse option keeps a condensed record and saves normal-speed events for detected impacts. Keep rear-camera parking recording enabled if you want both views while parked. We recommend our PowerCell 8 when you want a separate parking power reserve, with the correct BlackVue output cable. Runtime depends on charge, settings, temperature and activity.

Does Cloud access work without another purchase?

Local card recording and nearby Wi-Fi access do not need internet service. Remote Cloud features need maintained camera power, internet access and the appropriate BlackVue service plan. An optional external CM100GLTE also needs a compatible activated SIM and data plan. The module and data service are separate purchases; coverage and service conditions affect availability.

What memory card comes with it?

This kit includes a 64GB card. Use a compatible card up to 256GB and keep the correct original DR970X firmware current.

How should I save an important clip?

Export it promptly. Loop recording overwrites older files, and event-lock settings control which recordings can be replaced. Changing time or image-quality settings can format the card and delete all files, including locked events. High-quality 4K files also take more space; use Quick Playback or copy a file if phone streaming struggles.

What condition and warranty apply?

These units receive an in-house 10-point functionality check.
