Power Magic EZ First Impressions

Have you ever wished for a simpler alternative to hardwiring your dash cam? With the Blackvue Power Magic EZ, setting up parking mode has never been easier! You have the option to set a low voltage cut-off and a timer just like with the Power Magic Pro, but instead of wiring this to your vehicle’s fuse box, simply plug it into the OBD-II port and you’re set!

Parking Mode Switch

Just like the Power Magic Pro, you can toggle parking mode on/off with the flip of a switch

  • ON: Dash cam will be powered when the vehicle is off, until the low voltage cut-off or the timer cut-off limit is reached.
  • OFF: Dash cam will not be powered when the vehicle is off.

Low Voltage Cut-Off Settings

Choose between 12V, 12.5V, 22.8V, and 23.2V for your low voltage cut-off threshold. For most vehicles we recommend using 12V, but if your vehicle has a sensitive electronic system (BMW, Porsche) we would suggest setting this at 12.5V instead.

Timer Cut-Off Settings

A timer can be set for 6/12/24/36/48/72/120 hours. You will also have the option of setting this at infinity, which will allow you to get the maximum amount of parking mode as there is no predetermined time restriction. However, the power will be cut as soon as the battery’s voltage drops below the low voltage cut-off threshold regardless of the timer setting.

The Power Magic EZ is compatible with ALL BlackVue dash cams, new or old. If you have any questions about the product, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us over the phone, live chat, or email!
