Cellink Battery B

The Next Generation in Cellink Battery Packs

The Cellink NEO Battery Pack is the next generation and evolution of the Cellink Battery B. Now available at BlackboxMyCar. Learn more.

Cellink’s powerful Battery B Battery Pack will keep your dash cam running long after the ignition is switched off. It takes only about an hour to charge completely and also prevents discharge of your vehicle's battery. Dash cam battery packs are exactly what they sound like - battery packs made specifically for dash cams usage in vehicles. These battery packs are the perfect solution for those who want the maximum protection, as parking-mode recording is extended significantly and the wear-and-tear on the vehicle’s own battery is eliminated. These battery packs are designed to function under high heat and is why they’re made out of LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate), which is much safer and durable under hot climates. The metal casing and ventilation design of these batteries further strengthen how durable these batteries are, and are more than safe to use in all vehicles.

Cables Explained

Input Cables for Installation

Cellink Hardwire Kit:
Allows the Cellink Battery B to charge at a higher rate of 9 Amps, so it’s able to charge the battery in 45 minutes to full

Cellink 12V Power Cable:
Easier for install, but it charges the dash camera with lower current of 5 Amps, extending the charging time to 1 hour and 20 minutes

Output Cables for Installation

Female 12V Cigarette Socket Output:
This should be used for BlackVue dash cams and other cameras that switch into parking mode using the G-sensor. These are cameras that switch into parking mode after your vehicle is parked for a few minutes. The BlackSys dash cams can also work with this output method if the 'Use External Power' option is enabled.

Spliced Hardwire Kit Output Harness:
This kit is designed to work with the BlackSys and Thinkware dash cams. The hardwire kit is pre-spliced by one of our technicians so that it will switch into parking mode based on the ignition. Thinkware dash cams will not switch into parking mode if the female cigarette socket is used.

Unspliced 3-Wire Hardwire Kit:
If you already have a three wire (B+, ACC, Ground) hardwire kit, you can splice it into the Cellink Battery B battery pack output yourself. This is a good option for the DIY-ers out there.

FAQ

What is Parking Mode?

Parking mode is offered on most of the dash cams available at BlackboxMyCar. While it is important to protect your vehicle while driving, it is just as important to have your vehicle protected while it is parked. When the dash cam is in parking mode, footage will only be saved when there is an impact and/or motion. Parking mode can be enabled with a hardwiring kit or a battery pack.

For more information on parking mode, click here.

What is a Hardwire Kit?

A hardwiring kit enables parking mode. It allows your dash cam to remain powered on even when the vehicle's ignition is turned off. Installation is a breeze as you will only need to find an accessory fuse, constant fuse, and a grounding point.

What is a Battery Pack?

Most customers purchase the battery pack to avoid using the vehicle’s battery to power their dash cam. The battery pack is charged by either being hardwired into an accessory fuse or by being plugged into one of the vehicle's 12-volt cigarette sockets. We recommend the hardwiring the battery pack as it charges the battery pack quicker.

How much footage will my memory card store?

On average, a 2-channel dash cam writes 16GB/hour and a 1-channel dash cam writes about 8GB/hour.

Do I need a Rear Camera?

Accidents or events don't always happen at the front of the vehicle! Having a rear camera provides coverage for any events or accidents that may happen at the rear of the vehicle.

Do I need a IR Rear Camera?

An IR camera is designed to record the interior of the vehicle in low light conditions. This option is very popular among rideshare drivers.

What is a CPL filter?

A CPL filter attaches to the dash cam lens to eliminate lens flares, light reflections, and windshield glares.
