Cellink B

Cellink’s powerful Battery B will keep your dash cam running long after the ignition is switched off. It takes only about an hour to charge completely and also prevents discharge of your vehicle's battery. The optional expansion battery pack has the same capacity as the main battery pack, essentially doubling the overall power supply.

There is a choice of output cable, the 12V Cigarette socket will work for cameras like the BlackVue or BlackSys dash cams. The three wire unspliced output cable is a harness that will support hardwiring kits that have the ACC/Battery/Ground. You will need to splice this in with your dash cam's hardwire kit, for a guide on how to connect your hardwire kit to the battery pack click here.

If you don't already have a hardwire kit for your dash cam, choose the spliced hardwire kit option for output cable which will include the hardwire cable spliced into Cellink's output harness. This will work for BlackSys and Thinkware dash cams as well as a few other Korean dash cams. Note this doesn't mean you have to hardwire your battery pack, the spliced kit is on the output side and you can still power the battery pack through your 12V cigarette socket.

For hardwiring install, we highly recommend getting the Add-A-Fuse kit as the high quality wires on the Cellink Battery B are quite thick. The second generation Cellink Battery B only has a connection to the ACC fuse so it would only require 1 Add-A-Fuse kit.

Input Cables

Cellink Hardwire Kit: Allows the Cellink to charge at a higher rate of 9 Amps so it’s able to charge the battery in 45 minutes to full

Cellink 12V Cigarette plug: Easier for install however charges the unit with lower current of 5 Amps extended the charging time to 1hr and 20 minutes

Output Cables

Female Cigarette Socket Output: This should be used for BlackVue dash cams and other cameras that switch into parking mode using the G-sensor. These are cameras that switch into parking mode after your vehicle is parked for a few minutes. The BlackSys dash cams can also work with this output method if the "use external power" option is enabled.

Spliced Hardwire Kit Output Harness: This kit is designed to work with the BlackSys and Thinkware dash cams. The hardwire kit is pre-spliced by one of our technicians so that it will switch into parking mode based on the ignition. Thinkware dash cams will not switch into parking mode if the female cigarette socket is used. (*Note that the LG Innotek dash cams take a different 12V cable and will not work with this harness, email us if you want to order it with an LG hardwire kit)

Unspliced Hardwire Kit: If you already have a three wire (B+, ACC, Ground) hardwire kit, you can splice it into the Cellink output yourself. This is a good option for the DIY-ers out there

What is Parking Mode?

Parking mode is offered on most of the dash cams available at BlackboxMyCar. While it is important to protect your vehicle while driving, it is just as important to have your vehicle protected while it is parked. When the dash cam is in parking mode, footage will only be saved when there is an impact and/or motion. Parking mode can be enabled with a hardwiring kit or a battery pack.

What is a Hardwire Kit?

A hardwiring kit enables parking mode. It allows your dash cam to remain powered on even when the vehicle's ignition is turned off. Installation is a breeze as you will only need to find an accessory fuse, constant fuse, and a grounding point.

What is a Battery Pack?

Most customers purchase the battery pack to avoid using the vehicle’s battery to power their dash cam. The battery pack is charged by either being hardwired into an accessory fuse or by being plugged into one of the vehicle's 12-volt cigarette sockets. We recommend the hardwiring the battery pack as it charges the battery pack quicker.
