This footage was captured on our employee's dash cam recently. You may recognize the car and location as just a week earlier he was hit and run by an Evo Car share rental vehicle. This time he was hit by a pickup truck which caused even further damage to the front end of his Civic. When Stuart tried to knock on his neighbour's door, they denied the impact even though they were told about the dash cam footage. Shortly after, Stuart made a claim with the insurance company and his deductible was waived. The estimated cost of repairs will be over $2000.
Stuart's car is equipped with the Cellink Battery B and Blackvue DR650GW-2CH dash cam. This battery pack setup is needed so that the camera can record overnight as the standard battery in most Japanese compact cars usually cannot supply more than 6 hours of recording on a 2-channel camera. The added benefit to the Cellink is that there's no drain on the car battery which is particularly important in the Winter.
