For those considering a battery pack, one of the most important considerations is what kind of parking mode recording time they can get out of it. There are several factors to consider when picking a battery pack: charging time, battery pack capacity, and dash cam power consumption.
Our two most popular battery packs are the Cellink Battery B and the BlackVue B-112. The Cellink is a 76.8Wh (Watt-Hour) battery while the B-112 is a 38.4Wh battery, and both batteries take approximately 1 hour to charge. We generally recommend the Cellink B for a number of reasons, here is a comparison chart between the two batteries

The following are estimated recording times based on a fully charged battery pack. The Cellink takes about 1 hour to charge through the hardwire kit or 1 hour and 20 minutes via cigarette cable. The BlackVue B-112 takes about an hour to fully charge via cigarette cable. Note that you can double the recording time of the Cellink by adding an expansion pack but charge times will also be doubled.
